A noun and a verb is just a word
My perception of love is different from most people. It goes hand in hand with affection. If I feel a certain amount of affection towards a person, in my book it’s called love. Nowadays I’m very hesitant to use the word because most people… hell, let’s get real; every woman I have said “I love you” to has chewed up the feeling. They can’t return the...

That’s why I’m in the position I am now. I don’t want to hear bullshit. I want to hear the truth. I value honesty so much. That just means that I don’t want you to ever say something you don’t mean. If you say you miss me, make sure you actually miss me. If you say you love me, make sure you love…

Ambassador of Purple Application
I can’t tell you why I would make a great Ambassador of Purple, but I can tell you why I have to be.
I started attending York Technical College in the fall of 2011 as a Teleproduction Technology student; it was then that I realized that I had to fight just to get to the place where I belong. I could feel my disability turning me into a victim. My friends and family do so much for me and I...

Society and Technology Reflection
For my fifth reflection I will talk about a technology created by a mathematics professor at the University of Pennsylvania. In 1993 this professor, Richard Garfield, started to design a game during his free time. Volunteer players helped to refine the game, and when Garfield brought the idea to the CEO of Wizards of the Coast; the game could not be produced due to financial problems. Garfield...
I'm so sorry to burden everyone.
I am. I often feel like dead weight. I am reminded of how disabled I am and I sink into depression telling myself how worthless I am and how I can’t do anything for myself.
I know I can.
It’s just that for years and years all this has built up and “I can’t do anything for myself.” is out weighing my confidence.
I need to snap out of this and not let this drag me...

student: so what’s it like having your fiancé so far away? me: it sucks. student:…..oh…well….do you have any pets?
fml
Well Leah, your student is on to something! People who have significant others tend to live longer as do people who own pets! TWO FOR TWO! Also, oxytocin is released upon an elongated contact (cuddling) with a pet; not as much is released as cuddling with a human...

Me: You know, that could happen to any one of us. You don’t belong making fun of someone like that, what’s wrong with you? Girl: God gave me a mouth to speak & I’m gonna use it. Me: Well, God gave you a mouth to eat too, but you abused that privilege. Girl: -Speechless- Me: Oh, & you might wanna wipe that ketchup off of your chin. Girl: -Goes to wipe chin- Me: No,...

To everyone who fretted over SOPA...
That thing would not have passed at all. It’s a good idea in theory, as far as protecting copy written material goes, but the internet is too integrated into society to censor. FAR too many people would be affected my this legislation for it to passed in this country.
I did an audio news story on this subject and one interviewee brought up a good point; “The passing of the Patriot Act...
